Our base at Ashleam School, Achill Island
We are honoured to have use of Ashleam School on Achill as the base for Achill Oral Histories.
Our sincerest thanks to Fr John Murray and Tom Johnston for their support in enabling us to work from Ashleam School. We are currently renovating one of the rooms in the school to make it suitable for oral history recordings and the general comfort for anyone who will be visiting us in the school in the months and years to come. A huge thanks to our amazing builder, Dermot Macginty, and his team for doing the work in the school.
